Tommy Dreamer reveals Tony Khan’s latest anti-impact ad and says he is moving away from TV

Professional wrestling veteran Tommy Dreamer accessed Twitter this week and called AEW president and CEO Tony Khan for his latest “paid announcement” on Impact Wrestling TV.

As noted, Khan and Tony Schiavone appeared on Impact this week for their 11th “paid advertising” segment. This time, Tony brought several AEW fighters with them, some of whom were previously members of the Impact cast – Dr. Britt Baker, Rebel, Ricky Starks, Brian Cage, Ryan Nemeth, Isiah Kassidy and Matt Hardy. Dreamer, who continues to work with Impact, accessed Twitter and commented on Khan’s latest promotion, now using “The Forbidden Door” as a nickname.

“Promotion lesson 101 build the person you’re talking about UP if you win or lose, if you won or lost to someone special,” wrote Dreamer. “When more than half of your team worked @IMPACTWRESTLING, don’t stay in the place that helped them because you’re basically shitting yourself #fact #IMPACTonAXSTV”

Khan did not respond to Dreamer’s tweet as of this writing.

Dreamer recently celebrated his 50th birthday by unsuccessfully challenging Impact Impact world champion at the No Surrender main event. Dreamer recently appeared on Busted Open Radio and revealed that he suffered a dislocated finger during the fight, which he said was his 18th broken finger in his entire career. Dreamer blamed “his own fat”.

Dreamer, who started working behind the scenes and on TV again in 2018, also revealed that he has been moving away from his role on camera for some time. He also shared his ideas about the match with Swann.

“Yes and no,” said Dreamer when asked if he was happy with his performance against Swann. “I would like to have a little more gas in the tank. The match lasted 17-18 minutes. I am most proud of … none of us punched. The fact that we can keep people’s interest for longer and neither of us punch, praise Rich and the game. There were glimpses that I loved. I was sucking wind. I haven’t exploded since the early 90’s. Without fans, you have no idea. Adrenaline is nothing.

“When it happened to my finger, if there were fans there, I probably would have continued. It was a combination of a kick to the head, a finger killing me, I just needed a break and water. I already passed tables and fell off buildings, but the crowd ran with it, the performance was enhanced. With no fans there, I’m like, ‘What the hell is going on with my body?’ “

He continued: “I don’t want to say this is goodbye, but I’m going to step away from the things that are on camera. There are many more stories to be told. I had a great time and, unless WWE and Drew McIntyre, on my 51st birthday, I will face it. “

After the loss to Swann, Dreamer then lost to TNA World Heavyweight Champion Moose in an Old School Rules match as the main event of last week’s post-No Surrender edition of Impact.
