Three more developments of ‘Game of Thrones’ underway on HBO

HBO is developing a trio of the new prequel to “Game of Thrones” series, sources say Variety.

One spinoff, titled “9 Voyages” or “Sea Snake”, comes from “Roma” co-creator Bruno Heller, while the other two, “Flea Bottom” and “10,000 ships” still have no writers attached.

“9 Voyages” would focus on Lord Corlys Velaryon – known as “Sea Snake” and head of Casa Velaryon, husband of Rhaenys Targaryen – on the Sea Snake ship. Westeros’ best-known nautical adventurer, Lord Corlys – built a house even richer than the Lannisters and claims to be the largest navy in the world.

“Flea Bottom” would take place in the poorest district of King’s Landing, while “10,000 ships” revolves around Princess Nymeria, who traveled with Rhoynar to Dorne and married Lord Mors Martell.

An HBO spokesman declined to comment.

These projects follow another prequel to “Game of Thrones”, “House of the Dragon”, which is already much further ahead, having cast Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy and Matt Smith, as well as Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Eve Best and Sonoya Mizuno. Considine will star as King Viserys Targaryen, with Smith as his younger brother, Prince Daemon Targaryen, D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, the king’s firstborn and Cooke as Alicent Hightower.

Although not much is known about the three series in development, Toussaint was cast as Velaryon in “House of the Dragon”, apparently preparing the actor for two series set in the fictional world of George RR Martin. The same can also be speculated about Best, who was cast as his wife and dragon knight, Princess Rhaenys Velaryon (born Targaryen).
