The Boston Celtics may surprise everyone in the NBA’s negotiating deadline and be one of the biggest buyers. After entering the season with aspirations to the championship, the Celtics had a slow start, but is led by its stars. The Orlando Magic could have some pieces that intrigue Boston.

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum average more than 26 points per game. Outside the dynamic duo, the Celtics lack depth across the floor. They entered the off-season needing to slow down, but made few moves to improve the attacking court.

Tristan Thompson was his free agent. Thompson and Daniel Theis were disappointing to start the season. Boston will receive help wherever they can get it.

Magic is a team that can help. They are coming out of two consecutive postseason appearances, but they have been very low seeds. This affected his ability to advance in the playoffs. Markelle Fultz was starting to show signs of delay, but will miss the rest of the year with a torn ACL.

Magic has a strong core starting with Nikola Vucevic. He is a great versatile man at both ends of the floor and the Magic could build around him. That could be getting rid of some of your other big names. At some point, Orlando will have to decide which direction he wants to go.

Here is an agreement that could be made between the Orlando Magic and the Boston Celtics within the NBA negotiation deadline.
