Pokémon Sword & Shield is hosting an in-game event to celebrate the upcoming Secrets of the Jungle movie. The limited time Cramorant Max Raid will offer several rewards.
Although it has already been released in Japan, The Pokémon Company is preparing to release the next film Secrets of the Jungle in the West in 2021.
As a tie, Sword & Shield players will be able to participate in a special Max Raid with prizes. Here is everything you need to know about the event.

Sword & Shield will honor the 23rd Pokémon film, featuring Ash Ketchum.
Pokémon Sword & Shield Secrets of the Jungle Raid start date and time
The special in-game raid event will officially begin on Wednesday, fFebruary 4th and run up Monday, February 8. Players simply need to login during the four-day period and obtain a Cramorant level of 100.
Although not uncommon, Gen 8 ‘mon will act as a special boss similar to the attacks by Mewtwo and Zeraora in the past. Game Freak will keep a total record of how many players in the Nintendo Switch title have beaten it.
Depending on how many times the community kills the bird, each trainer will receive a special gift for a variety of items. Below, we’ll look at the goals and rewards.

Players will face a 100 Cramorant level during the Secrets of the Jungle raid event.
Pokémon Sword & Shield Secrets of the Jungle Raid rewards
- If 500,000 players win: Flame Orb, Toxic Orb and Light Ball
- 1,000,000 players: Gold bottle cap, three bottle caps and three pearl strings
Many players participating in the event will undoubtedly be keeping an eye on the gold bottle cap. The evasive item allows trainers to get the most out of their level 100 Pokémon IVs using Hyper Training in the Battle Tower in Wyndon.
In particular, those who hunt Shiny may have an incredible Legendary whose stats are not so good. The reward will increase these values and put them in top form.

Golden Bottle Caps can be used to maximize IVs in the Battle Tower.
While some players may be disappointed by the lack of a Legendary, the items rewarded are actually quite good. Still, the event in the game would have been sweeter if it included the film’s Pokémon protagonist, Zarude.
Sword & Shield had its final DLC expansion, The Crown Tundra, in October 2020. As the series moves towards its 25th anniversary this year, it is unclear whether the Galar region will receive further updates, making this event even more special.
