The mysterious man was the first to encounter Tiger Woods after an SUV crashed

A man who lives near the site of the Tiger Woods accident – and who heard the accident – was the first to arrive at the scene and found the golfer unconscious in his mutilated SUV, officials said in court documents made public on Friday. .

The man lives near the site in Rolling Hills Estates, Southern California, and was close enough to walk to the scene of the accident, where he found Woods’ face and chin covered in blood, the documents say.

He is not mentioned in the documents, which were filed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, as part of his effort to obtain the SUV’s data recorder for the ongoing investigation into what caused the accident.

The paperwork says that the mysterious good Samaritan tried to speak to the injured golfer, but got no response.

When the first officers arrived, however, Tiger had apparently woken up.

He was “calm and lucid” as firefighters pulled him out of the wreckage, officials said.

The same paperwork also indicates that Woods told the arriving police that he did not remember driving – and the police had to say that he had been in an accident.

Woods is being treated for multiple leg injuries.
