The massage therapist details graphic allegations against Texans’ Deshaun Watson in the Tony Buzbee case

A licensed massage therapist accused Texas quarterback Deshaun Watson of sexual assault.

Prominent lawyer Tony Buzbee, a former Houston mayoral candidate, opened the case on Tuesday. He first shared a brief piece of information in an Instagram post, saying the dispute was “about dignity and preventing behavior that should be stopped”.

The massage therapist, identified as Jane Doe, said she had never met Watson before or dealt with any member of the Texans organization. She received a direct message from the Pro Bowl quarterback on Instagram on March 28, 2020, she said.

The masseuse said she was confused about why an NFL player would want a massage from her, because she realized that Watson had access to an entire team of coaches. Still, she was excited to expand her business.

Watson reportedly told her he was looking for a massage for relaxation, not a typical sports massage, although his marketing indicates that she specializes in sports massages, the suit says.

They scheduled a massage for March 30, and Watson specifically asked if the masseuse would be home alone, she says. The question made her hesitate, but she dismissed it, knowing that he might want privacy because of his celebrity.

She left him alone at the beginning of the massage and found him again on the massage table, completely naked and with only a small towel covering the groin area, claims the masseuse in action. He then began to “aggressively dictate” how he wanted the massage to be performed, saying only to use his hands and focus on the groin area, she said.

After about 25 minutes, she started to feel extremely uncomfortable, she said.

“It was clear that Watson wanted a massage for just one reason – sex,” says the lawsuit.

The massage therapist said she was afraid and did not want to upset the “much bigger and more athletic Watson”. He went on to say that she was not massaging him the way he wanted and repeatedly directed her towards his penis, she claims in the process.

At one point, he exposed his penis under the towel and moved his body to purposely touch her hand with his penis, she said in the process.

The masseuse ended the massage, she said. Startled and crying, she said she asked him to leave.

Before he left, he reportedly said to her, “I know you have a career and a reputation, and I know you would hate for someone to mess with yours, just as I don’t want anyone to mess with mine,” according to the lawsuit.

Watson texted her apologizing, she said, and weeks later received messages from two other football players who said Watson had referred them to her.

Since then, she has suffered from panic attacks, depression, anxiety and difficulty sleeping, she said.

Watson responded to the claims, in which the masseuse alleges that Watson touched her inappropriately during a massage session at her home in March 2020.

“As a result of a social media post by a plaintiff’s attorney seeking publicity, I recently became aware of a lawsuit that has apparently been brought against me,” said Watson in his response. “I haven’t seen the complaint yet, but I know one thing: I’ve never treated any woman with anything but the utmost respect. The plaintiff’s lawyer says it’s not about money, but before he filed the case, he made a six-point deal. – there is the demand for liquidation, which I quickly rejected. “

The statement went on to say that “it’s not about money for me – it’s about clearing my name, and I’m looking forward to doing that.”

Houston’s prominent defense lawyer, Rusty Hardin, is representing Watson in the lawsuit, he confirmed. Hardin, who represented other athletes like Roger Clemens, was not available for comment on Wednesday.

The Texans issued a separate statement on Wednesday morning addressing the charges.

“We learned of a civil lawsuit involving Deshaun Watson through a post on social media last night,” the statement said. “This is the first time we have heard about the matter and we hope to find out more soon. We take allegations of this nature that involve anyone within the Houston Texans organization seriously. We will wait for more information before making any further statements about this incident.”

Watson is at an impasse with the Texans after formally requesting an exchange in January.

Watson reiterated his feelings clearly and politely about wanting to be negotiated in a recent conversation with coach David Culley and remains intentional in his desire to never play down for the AFC South franchise, several league sources previously told the Houston Chronicle. The team, however, remains firm in not wanting to change it.

The Texans signed a one-year contract on Tuesday with former Los Angeles Chargers defender Tyrod Taylor, who would likely serve as a full-back in Watson’s absence, according to previous reports.
