The lifestyle tycoon posted a video on Monday on her verified Instagram account showing she was vaccinated near the Martha Stewart Center for Living at Mount Sinai Downtown in New York.
Stewart, 79, explained that he received no special treatment. States have been struggling to administer the vaccine amid a record number of infections and deaths.
“To allay your concerns about having passed the queue, know that I am in the approved age group for this batch of vaccines and have waited in line with others,” said the caption.
Stewart was “very proud and grateful to the doctors, nurses and medical staff who are facing the bureaucracy and confusion of distributing these very important vaccines,” she said.
“I am excited to have received my dosage and am looking forward to the boost,” she said. “Doctors told me that 10,000 orders were received at Mount Sinai shortly after the state released this batch of vaccines.”
