The Washington Post was lampooned this week for publishing a “social justice guide for children” that aims to push elements of the Black Lives Matter and #MeToo movements for children as young as three months old, recommending everything from children’s music classes to gender anti-racism flashcards.
The article indicates a worrying expansion of “wokeness” among “younger” demographic groups, Wilfred Reilly, a professor at Kentucky State University, told Fox News Primetime presenter Brian Kilmeade on Wednesday.
Natalie Jesionka’s play was published with the title: “Social justice for children: these new books and programs start the conversation early.” Jesionka wrote that “experts say it is never too early and a new wave of tools and resources can help start the conversation.”

She also spoke with “performance artists” whose goal is “to increase exposure to trawling, support children with gender variations and create an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome”.
“In fact, it is true in the social sciences that children trust people with faces that look more like their caregivers at an early age. But the problem is that these caregivers can be of any race,” explained Reilly. “Almost a quarter of marriages in the United States are interracial. I don’t think you need to train your baby to fight homophobia yet.”
Reilly pointed to a recent column he wrote for Commentary magazine, in which he stated that “in 2021 in America, it is not – objectively speaking – extraordinarily difficult for a person of any skin tone to do that”.

“I think we are in a pretty good place,” he said. “As an honest man, I will say that there is obviously racism in the United States. We see some … racial prejudice when you look at who white Americans say they would work for, who they would vote for …
“But,” he continued, “the simple reality is that for about 50 years in the United States, to combat this specifically, we had pro-minority affirmative action programs and the Civil Rights Act in place … and what you see in general it is a functional functional society, mostly integrated. “
