  • A leak appears to have revealed the Sony Xperia 10 III.
  • It must have a familiar design, including the headset and the front stereo speakers.
  • You can hear more about the phone in the coming weeks.

Sometimes it’s what a company doesn’t change on a phone that can be the most exciting. Steve Hemmerstoffer (also known as OnLeaks) shared what he says are images and details of the Sony Xperia 10 III, a subtle evolution of the 10 II that maintains features that appear to be dying on the main devices.

Most notably, the Xperia 10 III is supposed to keep the 3.5 mm headphone jack and front stereo speakers – Sony may not make you give up your favorite headphones or ask you to hold your phone carefully while watch a video. While it is true that Sony also revived the connector for last year’s Xperia 1 II, it is doubtful that people will complain about more options.

You can also expect the 6-inch 21: 9 display to return, with no holes or notches in sight. Details are not available for the rear triple camera configuration, but rumors suggest that the Xperia 10 III will have a 12 MP primary camera, as well as an 8 MP telephoto and ultra-wide sensors. It won’t compete with medium-range devices in some areas, then (a device like the OnePlus Nord has a high-resolution camera), but the continued existence of a telephoto camera can give you an advantage.

Sony must also preserve the side-mounted fingerprint reader and maintain a familiar aesthetic. Although internal specifications are not available, the Xperia 10 II used a Snapdragon 665. We expect the Xperia 10 III to offer similar processing power, although it is not certain that Sony will jump to the Snapdragon 690 and its built-in 5G.

If history is any indication, Sony could launch the Xperia 10 III sometime in February. It will not be a radical change for the company, but it can stand out in a field where competitors are reducing resources that customers previously considered guaranteed.
