The home of Trump’s impeachment attorney Michael van der Veen has been vandalized

The word “traitor” was spray-painted in front of the lawyer’s garage.

Vandals targeted the home of one of former President Donald Trump’s impeachment lawyers, spray-painting the word “TRAITOR” in red in the garage of his home in the Philadelphia suburb, police said.

The vandalism occurred around 8 pm on Friday at attorney Michael van der Veen’s residence in West Whiteland Township, Pennsylvania, about 30 miles southwest of Philadelphia, police said.

No arrests were made, Detective Scott Pezick of the West Whiteland Township Police Department told the Associated Press. Pezick said that private security was contracted by the owner to protect the residence, and the police presence was reinforced in the neighborhood of van der Veen.

Van der Veen spent the week in Washington DC defending Trump against an impeachment article related to the January 6 attack on the Capitol building. Trump was acquitted of the charge by the Senate on Saturday.
