The Gathering game is finally entering open beta in March

Legends can be played on March 23

It’s been a year! Well, it was … nine difficult months or more, but it felt like a whole year.

And in that time, I forgot many games that were vaguely arriving in 2021, or were pushed into limbo. This includes the next Magic: The Gathering themed dungeons that crawl action joke Magic: Legends!

But, lo and behold, Perfect World Entertainment and Wizards of the Coast are here to remind us that it really is one thing and will start to become a real thing that you can play very soon. On March 23, the open beta of the PC will begin, a time when everyone can try it; following a previous series of closed alpha tests.

As a reminder, it is described as a “free persistent world to play” game, which still has a dungeon structure, but also has card game elements such as “decks” that can be used to influence your choices of magic / skill. You can take a good quick look at this idea below.

Eventually, this thing will hit the PS4 and Xbox One platforms as well.
