Kingdom come … in defense of Prince Charles.

Kingdom Chorus members – who performed at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – are speaking out in defense of Prince Charles as the royal family faces accusations of racism stemming from Sussex’s Sunday night meeting with Oprah Winfrey.

Karen Gibson, founder and conductor of the Kingdom Choir, told TMZ on Thursday that it was Prince Charles who invited the African American group to bless the congregation during Harry and Meg’s nuptials, an invitation she believed to be sincere. She also claims that Charles “went out of his way” to congratulate them on their success since the event.

Markle said during the bombing interview in question that a member of the royal family expressed concern about the color of her skin and that of Harry’s son Archie, since Markle’s mother is African American. Winfrey confirmed that neither the Queen nor Prince Phillip are the royalty in question, prompting many to point a finger at Charles and / or his eldest son, Prince William.

For his part, William insisted that royalty “is not much of a racist family” when questioned. Charles has not yet addressed the allegations, only letting out a nervous laugh when asked about the controversial questions and answers.
