The Apple Store lists the base model of the iMac Pro as available ‘while supplies last’, suggesting that it is being discontinued

In a sign that the iMac Pro is about to come out, the only model currently available for purchase on the Apple Store website is the basic $ 4,999 configuration, “while supplies last”. As first reported by 9to5Mac, all custom configurations for the iMac Pro have been removed from the Apple website (but may still be available from third-party resellers such as Amazon). Apple account The Verge once supplies of the base model are exhausted, the iMac Pro will no longer be available.

It’s no big surprise that Apple may be discontinuing the iMac Pro; there have been reports that the company will introduce a redesigned iMac and do a Mac Pro makeover sometime this year. Bloomberg reported in January that the review would eliminate the “chin” below the screen and would have a flat back design.

Apple did not officially consider the iMac Pro to be discontinued, but it is unusual for the company to use “while supplies last” in its product lists. Meanwhile, the 27-inch iMac launched in August is a solid option that Apple says is popular with professional iMac users.

Apple launched the iMac Pro in 2017 with a focus on gaming, VR and cutting-edge editing and graphic work. It was first revealed at that year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, with Apple proclaiming it “the most powerful Mac ever,” replacing the outdated line of the Mac Pro.
