That’s all, folks: the Samsung Galaxy Note series no longer exists, say two well-known insiders

We have heard conflicting reports on the fate of the Galaxy Note series. Until recently, productivity-driven flagships were the only Samsung phones to support the S Pen. The new The Galaxy S21 Ultra is also compatible with the stylus and Samsung also confirmed that digital pen integration will be extended to more devices in the future.

Previously, it was reported that Samsung is expanding S Pen support to other phones to migrate existing Note users to the S and Z series. The idea is apparently to keep the S family as the flagship of the H1 and replace the line Note for the Z foldable phones as the flagships of the H2.

So it was obvious that the days of the Galaxy Note were numbered. What was not so clear, however, was whether we will see a successor to the Note 20 this year. A recent report had said that Samsung could launch only the Galaxy Note 21 Ultra and also without the usual fanfare.

Now it seems that chaebol has finally decided on the Note series and the decision will disappoint many fans. The latest and not-so-enigmatic tweet from the Venerated leaker Ice Universe suggests that the iconic Note series has ended its run and there will be no Galaxy Note 21.

Ross Young, a member of the exhibition industry, also corroborated the rumor. He suggests that Note 20 FE may still be on the cards. The device has already been confirmed implicitly by Samsung.
Sales of the banknote and S series were apparently discouraging in 2020 and the discontinuation of the first could help Samsung boost sales of the Galaxy S21 series.
