Texas woman arrested in connection with $ 10G dog theft

A 21-year-old Texas woman was arrested in connection with the theft of a rare $ 10,000 bulldog dog.

Royshana King was taken into police custody and charged with qualified theft with a deadly weapon last week, according to county officials.

King was arrested on $ 15,000 bail, according to the New York Post. A male suspect has not yet been identified and is still on the run with the dog.

The dog was taken on November 4 at Harris County Bully Kamp pet store. The video of the incident went viral after a pet store employee allegedly jumped on the hood of a car to try to prevent the theft.

Employee Alize James, also 21, was working at the store when the pair entered and began discussing financing options.

However, when James walked away to get some papers for a UPS driver, court documents say the couple ran off with the animal.

They were seen fleeing the scene in a surveillance video, heading towards Interstate 45.

James, an animal lover, told KPRC – who first reported the incident – that the 7-month-old American Bully had just undergone surgery and needed special medication.

She allegedly chased the thieves into the parking lot and demanded that the couple return the dog. The car then accelerated and she was thrown on the hood.

The criminals threatened to run over James, but continued driving with her on top of the vehicle for 10 minutes.

James was miraculously able to hold on as they swerved, hoping to shake her.

“I was putting up with my life,” she told KPRC.

The car finally came to a stop, but James’s problems were not over yet.

The suspect got out of the vehicle and attacked James – throwing her out of the car, punching and scratching her face.

Although she fought, the couple still managed to successfully take the dog.
