A Texas real estate broker who took a private jet to the US Capitol riot last week and said it was the best day of his life is facing federal charges.
Jennifer Ryan, who serves for Jenna Ryan on social media, is the last person charged with connection to the January 6 attack that left five people dead, including a Capitol police officer.
Federal officials said in court documents released on Friday that Ryan traveled with a group to Washington, DC, on January 5 and documented his two-day trip on social media.
In a deleted video, Ryan said, “Let’s go down and invade the Capitol. They are there now and that’s why we came and that’s what we’re going to do. So wish me luck. “
Another video that is still on Ryan’s Facebook page shows her and a group of supporters of President Donald Trump walking towards the Capitol. “This is a prelude to the war that is about to happen,” he warns.
She was also thrilled to enter the building.
“We will f —— get in here. Life or death, it doesn’t matter. Here we go,” she said in a video now deleted. Ryan added later: You know who to hire for your realtor. Jenna Ryan for her realtor. “
Authorities said that hours after the rape, Ryan wrote on Twitter that she “had just invaded the Capital [sic]. “
“It was one of the best days of my life,” she wrote, according to court documents. Another photo included in the documents shows it beside a broken window on the Capitol. In the caption, she said the news studios would be next “if the news didn’t stop lying about us”.
Ryan was accused of disorderly conduct on the Capitol grounds and intentionally entering or staying in any restricted building or land without legal entry. It is not clear whether she got a lawyer.
In a statement released on January 8, Ryan said he thought he was participating in a “peaceful political march”, but that it turned into a violent protest.
“I cannot tolerate the violence that has occurred,” she wrote. “And I’m really heartbroken for the people who lost their lives. Hate and violence against each other are not going to solve our country’s problems. As a nation, we need to unite Republicans, Democrats and independents and have an open environment. and honest discussion about the problems in our country and solving our problems in peace. “
