Tekken 7’s newest fighter is Poland’s fictional prime minister

The real prime minister of Poland, Mateusz Jakub Morawiecki, 53 years, doesn’t look much like a fighter. The fictional Polish Prime Minister, Lidia Sobieska, joining Tekken 7March 23 lineup seems like a much more sensible choice.

Seemingly provoked forever and the subject of a recent Bandai Namco press correspondence that included an official invitation to the tournament in a very chic box, Lidia has always been more focused on her karate than on politics. An attempted murder of her grandfather and father took her back to government work, and when it was revealed that Mishima Zaibatsu had illegally deployed Tekken Force units in parts of Poland, Lidia responded to the people’s plea by becoming first- minister at the tender age of 29.

Along with a new fighter to dominate, tomorrow’s DLC drop to Tekken 7 it also includes a new stage “Ilha Paraíso”, because nothing says Poland as an island paradise.
