‘Superman & Lois,’ ‘Young Rock’: TV Ratings on Tuesday, February 23, 2021

The 90-minute debut offers the network’s biggest audience on Tuesday in two years.

The debut of Superman and Lois on the CW it delivered solid ratings, giving the network its biggest audience on Tuesday in two years. Young Rock and Kenan of NBC, however, cooled off in their second week.

Superman and LoisThe 90-minute debut drew 1.75 million viewers and a rating of 0.37 among adults ages 18 to 49, giving the CW two consecutive premieres in a strong series (after Walker’s in January). The show also had the largest audience on the same day of any DC Comics series since The Flashepisode of “Crisis on Infinite Earths” in December 2019. Along with a half-hour special that followed the premiere (1.24 million viewers), Superman and Lois gave the CW the most watched Tuesday night since January 29, 2019.

At NBC, Young Rock (0.77 in adults 18-49, 3.61 million viewers) and Kenan (0.55, 2.76 million) fell from their premieres last week – although they are above average for NBC’s comedy offerings so far this season. These are U.S (0.97, 5.1 million) also fell, but Nurses (0.34, 2.2 million) remained stable.

ABC’s To Tell the Truth (0.56 at 18-49, 3.9 million viewers), Black-ish (0.5, 2.54 million) and Mixed-ish (0.43, 2.11 million) decreased by a few weeks. CBS and Fox aired prime-time reruns.

On cable, History’s The Curse of Oak Island led the ranking of 18-49 with a rating of 0.56 and finished third in total viewers, behind The Rachel Maddow Show (3.33 million) and Tucker Carlson Tonight (3.3 million).
