Subway tuna action causes Jessica Simpson’s hilarious reaction

Jessica Simpson just gave her opinion on the Subway tuna scandal and, really, it’s the only opinion that matters.

On Friday, Subway defended itself against an “unfounded” lawsuit, claiming that the fast food chain’s tuna is actually “a mix of various mixes”. Simpson, whose “sea chicken” flub is an iconic moment in the history of reality television, offered some comforting words.

“It’s okay at @Subway,” she tweeted. “This is confusing.”

It has been almost 17 years since Simpson publicly asked himself whether Chicken of the Sea’s tuna was chicken or tuna. But Subway insists its tuna is really tuna.

A lawsuit filed against the fast food chain last week claimed that there is no tuna or fish in its sandwiches or packages. Instead, “tuna” is a “mixture of various mixtures that do not constitute tuna, but that have been mixed by the defendants to mimic the appearance of the tuna,” according to the complaint. The order is based on an independent analysis that supposedly showed that there was no tuna or fish present based on “multiple samples” of the sandwich. Subway is being accused of fraud, intentional misrepresentation and unjust enrichment, among other crimes.

Subway responded, telling Yahoo Finance in a statement that the company “delivers 100% cooked tuna to its restaurants, which is mixed with mayonnaise and used in freshly made sandwiches, wraps and salads that are served and tasted by our guests”
