Stephen Curry’s immediate appeal to Dubs after falling 0-2

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors suffered another defeat on Christmas Day, losing to Giannis Antetokounmpo and Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. Now they are consecutive losses for the Dubs to open their 2020-21 campaign, and to make matters worse, both came in the form of burst defeats.

This development resulted in Curry to leave with a rather desperate appeal to his team.

After the embarrassing defeat by 138 to 99 on Friday, the Warriors star express the need for a clear sense of urgency for the Golden State:

Stephen Curry was the Warriors’ top scorer against the Bucks, finishing with 19 points out of an inefficient 9 out of 17 on the ground. The former consecutive MVP also recorded four rebounds, six assists and a steal, but he also made 2 of 10 in his long-range attempts. Curry was Golden State’s best player of the night, but it was far from a stellar performance for the 32-year-old.

The historic 39 point loss on Christmas Day follows the Warriors’ defeat on their opening night against Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets. Golden State suffered a 125-99 loss against the new Nets team, and at this point, there is no denying that the Dubs are not a very good team.

As Curry said, the Warriors need to win as quickly as possible. They will have an excellent opportunity to do so on Sunday when they face the Chicago Bulls at United Center. Bulls is far from a playoff team, so it must be a winning game for Dubs.

Then again, with the current form of the Golden State, it wouldn’t be a complete shock if Chicago got a comeback against a side of the struggling Dubs.
