Steph Curry of the Warriors, Draymond Green taking chemistry to a new level

It is no coincidence that some of Steph Curry’s most explosive scoring nights took place at the same time that Draymond Green is in a game-making frenzy.

In their ninth NBA season together, Curry and Green know each other like the back of their hands. Green knows where Curry likes to catch the ball. Curry knows that if he keeps moving, Green will find him.

Some of his incredible two-player moves are made by Steve Kerr and the coaches. And most of it is natural.

“What’s fun is their innovation,” said Kerr. “Some of the things the two of them do is almost like Sandlot football. They just draw the game on the court and find a way to leave someone open. They are both very, very bright basketballs.”

Curry and Green’s chemistry was on full display in the Warriors’ 129-98 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night. It was a game full of moments that highlighted the game of two players and how they make the game easier for each other. Curry ended the night with 36 points from 13 of 19 shots, while Green had the record for the season with 16 assists and just one turn. None of them had to play in the fourth period.

Green said he holds the setup screens in the same way that he needs no assistance. But when he does both, the Warriors’ attack opens to new heights.

“It’s a beautiful thing,” said Juan Toscano-Anderson of watching Curry and Green play together. “It’s a beautiful basketball. I mean, I’m out there smiling and laughing because, it’s like, how do you keep it? I don’t even know what you’d call it, but the game readings are on another level and it’s impossible to protect.

“I love being in your actions because I know that either Steph is going to be open, or I’m going to be open, nine out of 10. You can’t protect them both. It’s just a beautiful thing and I am I love the game, a superman of basketball, and that’s an art for me. “

Observing the chemistry on Curry and Green’s court, other team members who haven’t played with them in a long time are starting to learn, based on where Curry and Green go, where they should go to maintain spacing on the floor.

They know that when Curry pulls out several defenders, Green will find them, as long as they’re in the right place.

Curry and Green’s chemistry this season is more evident than ever. In the past, the Warriors squad has always been packed with other top-notch talent like Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson. The relationship of these players with Curry has always been the center of attention. But this season, it’s all about Curry and Green, and their story of playing together is shining and giving the Warriors something to build on.

“It’s based on eight, nine years of experience that comes when we draw something or talk about something or just feel or see,” said Curry.

This season, the two-person game Curry-Green will be a big key to the Warriors’ success. And while the Warriors still have a lot to discover, it’s not because of what their double star is doing.
