Steph Curry and Draymond Green reflect on Klay Thompson’s 37-point fourth

What a night it was.

Saturday marks the sixth anniversary of Klay Thompson’s NBA record of 37 points in the third quarter of a victory over the Sacramento Kings, and the Warriors’ big three reflected on the legendary night in each of their Instagram stories.

“Sheesh … what a bad man @klaythompson. Six years ago today. What a game. We will miss you tonight, brother,” Curry wrote of a photo of the two in the game. Thompson shared Curry’s message, with his own touching note.

“I miss all the damn days. I’m going to grind until that day comes back,” added Thompson.

Draymond Green shared a highlight of the dam, writing “remember as if it were yesterday” with four appropriate fire emojis underneath.

Thompson led the Warriors with 13 points in the halftime confrontation with the Kings, but then exploded in the third frame, hitting all 13 attempts at kicks, including nine of 3 points for a 37-point performance, increasing the Warriors’ advantage from five to 24.

Although we can’t see Thompson take the spot on Saturday night, when the Warriors face Jazz in Utah, it’s always fun to look back on one of the most enjoyable nights of the Warriors’ first season with the trio of Klay, Steph and Draymond.
