‘Star Wars’ actress Trisha Noble dead at 76

Trisha Noble, who appeared in two “Star Wars” films, died after a battle with mesothelioma, the Daily Mail reported. She was 76 years old.

Noble died on January 23, days before his 77th birthday, according to the Daily Mail, from complications of a tumor caused by inhaled asbestos fibers.

In the “Star Wars” franchise, Noble was Jobal Naberrie, Padmé Amidala’s mother played by Natalie Portman. It can be seen in “Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones” 2002 and “Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith”. However, their scenes were cut from the final version of Episode II and appear only on DVD extras.

Born Patricia Ann Ruth Noble, the Australian started on the TV show “Bandstand” and ended up having a career in pop music, acting as Patsy Ann Noble in the 1960s in the UK and the United States. She also starred as Sergeant Rosie Johnson in the police drama “Strike Force”.

She later returned to Australia and played Miss Jacobs / Mrs. Crown in the 2017 Australian production of “Ladies in Black”, reported the Daily Mail.
