STALKER 2 features 4K and Ray Tracing support, coming to Xbox Game Pass first day

The developer of STALKER 2, GSC Game World, announced that its long-awaited sequel will arrive on the Xbox Game Pass on launch day, and will feature lightning tracking technology and support for 4K resolution. In a new update on the Xbox Wire blog, GSC said “you can be sure that the game will arrive on the Xbox Game Pass on the first day.”

In addition, the studio detailed the game’s current progress. “We are progressing smoothly, including the Xbox Series X | S versions as well. The goal is to provide the highest quality product possible on all platforms for which it is advertised. With fast SSD, RTX support (both X and S series) ) and 4K Resolution (X Series), we are pleased to see how STALKER 2 is transforming to be the definitive experience that we promised initially. “Based on the motor-powered trailer launched in December last year, it seemed practically guaranteed that the STALKER 2 would push the graphic envelope. It’s nice to now have the assurance that ray tracing will be available in all formats and 4K on Xbox Series X and PC.

Finally, the post also revealed that the protagonist of STALKER 2 is codenamed Skif. Although nothing more has been revealed about Skif, GSC promises that “Your actions will shape the new big chapter in the history of the Zone.”
