“I’m going to give the president a chance now,” says the actress about her new views.

Stacey Dash is stepping out of the political spotlight and even issuing an apology for her support for former President Donald Trump.

In an interview with The Daily Mail published on Thursday, the Clueless star said that anger is what drives her political stance and motivates her to be a conservative contributor to the media.

“I lived my life in anger, which is what I was on Fox News for,” said Dash, who currently stars in the drama directed by Nick Loeb Roe v. Wade. “I was the conservative and angry black woman. And at that time in my life, it was who I was. I realized in 2016 that anger is unsustainable and will destroy you. I made a lot of mistakes because of that anger. “Dash was dropped as a commentator in 2017.

Not offering details, Dash said The Daily Mail in a combination of video and print comments she was sorry about. “Things I said, that I shouldn’t have said the way I said,” Dash explained. “They were very arrogant, proud and angry. And that’s what Stacey was, but that’s not what Stacey is now. Stacey is someone who has compassion, empathy.”

As for the time he spent on Fox News, Dash said it was his job to support the right-wing narrative. “I’m not a victim of anyone. Working for Fox at the time, that was my job. I did my job where I was. Stacey now would never work for Fox, would never work for a news network or be a news contributor. “

Dash added: “Being a supporter of Trump put me in some kind of box that I don’t belong to. But he is not the president. I’m going to give the president that we now have a chance.”
