As part of today’s Square Enix showcase, the publisher showed another excerpt from its “adventure based on narratives set in a beautiful but cruel world”, Athia Project. It’s just not called Athia Project most. Now it’s, uh, Forspoken, a name that, if nothing else, has not been spoken before.

Forspoken will be launched in 2022. Last year, Sony said it will be an exclusive PS5 console for “at least 24 months”, but it will also be on the PC at launch.

On the PlayStation blog, game director Takeshi Aramaki shared new details about the game – what do you mean none details, however scarce they may be.

Forspoken it is an action RPG where you will take on the role of Frey Holland, an ordinary young woman who must take advantage of her magical abilities to survive in a fantastic and dangerous land called Athia ”, he wrote. “Like Frey, you will embark on an exciting adventure from another world and face treacherous trials to unravel the mystery behind the unknown land of Athens and awaken something much more from within.”

Aramaki continued to say that the focus is on the speed and fluidity of the course, something that is on display during the brief gameplay part of the trailer, in which Frey seems to have learned all his movements from Warframe. It’s fine by me; Warframe it’s drug, and I think every game should steal bullet jumps
