A man from Spartanburg, South Carolina, faces six charges in the February 10 accident that killed a teacher in the state, according to the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
Arrested SLED agents Andres Antonio Barron, 28, on Thursday.
He was charged with reckless homicide, failure to stop for blue lights resulting in death, driving under suspension, failing to return a driver’s license after the suspension warning, operating an unregistered vehicle and using a license plate other than the vehicle in use.
36 years Jessica Ruth Munyon, from Moore, South Carolina, died in the accident last week.
Barron was driving a Cadillac on Blackstock Road in Spartanburg County around 4 pm on February 10, WYFF reported.
Just before the accident, Spartanburg County police tried to pull over the Cadillac for a traffic violation, Fox Carolina reported. He refused to stop, according to media reports.
When the persecution became dangerous, deputies backed down, Fox Carolina reported.

Shortly after they finished the chase, Barron’s Cadillac crashed into Munyon’s vehicle. MPs who spoke to WYFF said the accident was extremely loud and “violent”.
According to arrest warrants (below), SLED investigators found that Barron was driving “in a way that indicated a deliberate or arbitrary disregard for people’s safety and caused the death of Jessica Ruth Munyon”

The 7th Circuit Lawyer’s Office is processing the case.
A bond was not granted in the case. As of Thursday afternoon, Barron was still behind bars.
Barron faces up to 25 years in prison for not stopping because of the blue light charge and up to 10 years in prison for the reckless homicide charge.

Jessica Munyon was a teacher at South Carolina Whitmmore School.
“Jessica joined the school in 2016 and has had an incredible impact on students’ lives across South Carolina,” school officials said in a statement. “Jessica not only served faithfully as a teacher, but also as a department head and counselor. She will be sorely missed by the entire family at SC Whitmore School. “
Munyon is a graduate of Hilton Head High School and a former student at the University of South Carolina.
“Jessica was a wonderful creative person with a wicked sense of humor and was very devoted to family and friends,” said her obituary.
