Sony sold worldwide rights to the animated feature film by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller The Mitchells vs. the machines for Netflix. The photo was previously known as Connected.
The photo jumped on the release schedule during the pandemic, with an opening date on October 23, before Sony didn’t date. After Sony saw the lackluster profit in Principle last September, they pushed Connected for spring. I understand that Netflix sought the film and paid well over $ 110 million for the film for global rights without China.
The film is directed by Mike Rianda and co-directed by Jeff Rowe with a script by Rianda and Rowe.
Pic follows a family’s daily struggle to bond as technology grows around the world. When Katie Mitchell (Abbi Jacobson), a creative outsider, is accepted into the film school of her dreams, her plans to meet “her people” at college are interrupted when her nature-loving father Rick (Danny McBride) determines that the whole family I was supposed to take Katie to school together and form family bonds for the last time.
Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Kurt Albrecht produced the film and Will Allegra, Louis Koo Tin Lok, was the executive producer.
The stars of the voiceover also include Maya Rudolph, Mike Rianda, Eric Andre, Olivia Colman, Blake Griffin and Doug The Pug.
