Have you seen the mini iPhone 12 and wish there was an Android equivalent to this small but powerful design? You can fulfill your wish. The well-known informant OnLeaks shared what he says were images and initial details of the Xperia Compact, Sony’s revival of a small phone line that fell after the 2018 XZ2 Compact. The device would have dimensions slightly larger than its rival Apple, but its 5.5-inch screen and overall diminutive body could make it attractive alongside the giants that define the current Android scene.
It is unclear which processor the Xperia Compact would use, but Sony would find room for dual rear cameras (one 13MP), an 8MP selfie camera in one notch and, yes, a 3.5mm headset. Like many Sony phones, you will find a fingerprint reader built into the power button. This probably won’t make you regret buying the Xperia 1 II, but there would be no stark compromise in size either.
