Sony is launching the PS5 in India on February 2

PlayStation players in India will finally have a chance to get their hands on a PS5 in a few weeks. The official Twitter account for PlayStation India announced that the new Sony console will be available in the country on February 2. Retailers selling the device, including Amazon, Flipkart and other partners, will begin accepting pre-orders on January 12.

Like TechCrunch suggests that the launch may indicate an improvement in Sony’s supply chain, allowing the tech giant to launch the console in a new region. Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, confirmed shortly after the PS5’s debut in the United States that the device is completely sold out. He said the shortage would have happened independently of COVID-19, but that the biggest problem caused by the pandemic was in pre-production due to travel and other restrictions. “Everything is sold. Absolutely everything is sold … I am spending much more time trying to increase the supply to meet this demand ”, he revealed.
