‘SNL’ fights with deputy Matt Gaetz over sex trafficking charges

“Saturday Night Live” angered Congressman Matt Gaetz after Tuesday’s New York Times report that federal investigators were trying to determine whether he was involved in sex trafficking or had a relationship with a 17-year-old girl.

Gaetz, a Florida Republican, has repeatedly denied the accusations and said they are part of an extortion plan of which he is the victim.

But in “SNL”, Gaetz was suggested as “not so innocent” as part of Britney Spears’ fictional program, “Oops, You Did it Again”.

Pete Davidson appears on ‘Saturday Night Live’ on April 3, 2021, as Rep. Matt Gaetz.NBC

“I can decide whether they are innocent or not so innocent,” explained host Spears, played by Chloe Fineman. “Scream for our sponsor, Georgia – voted the best place not to vote.”

The show featured pop culture characters who were essentially canceled as a result of their behavior. Among them was skunk Pepe Le Pew (Kate McKinnon), cut from the movie “Space Jam: A New Legacy” because of his aggressive sexuality.

Hallo for you, “said Le Pew.” I would kiss you all over the arm, but I know that this is no longer socially acceptable. “

Asked about what he has done, the skunk said he sought treatment for sexual addiction. And he had time to read. “I have read books like ‘Women are from Mars, Skunks are from France,” said Le Pew.

Gaetz was presented by Spears as “a total sexual plague”. He appeared and exhibited some of the trademarks of the hypersexual character Glenn Quagmire from the TV show “Family Guy”.

“Tall, everybody,” he said. “Giggity Goo Giggity.”

He then explained that his surname is “like Bill Gates, but with a ‘Z’ at the end. Like a legal version for teenagers.”

“I think I can identify a teenage predator when I see one,” said Spears. “After all, I was at the ‘Mickey Mouse Club’.

Asked if he thinks the allegations could harm him in the next election, Gaetz said: “Strangely, in my district they can help”.

He then stated: “I am just like Pepe here, I am just a womanizer”.

Le Pew replied, “Man, no. I’m a cartoon skunk, you’re a congressman from the United States. Be better, okay?”

The “Weekend Update” news segment continued to bother Gaetz.

“Representative Matt Gaetz, who looks like a drawing of me of a character, is reportedly under investigation for an alleged sexual relationship with an underage girl,” said co-host Colin Jost. “Because Gaetz believes that only voters should present an identity document.”

Jost had more news about Gaetz.

“It is also being reported that Gaetz may have paid to have sex with women he met online,” he said. “This story has been confirmed by all of its vibrancy.”

He also wondered why QAnon’s followers, some of whom believed a conspiracy theory that prominent Democrats were involved in child sex trafficking, do not seem to be so in tune with the reported investigation involving Gaetz.

“An acting deputy is being accused of child trafficking and QAnon staff suddenly thinks, ‘No, I need more evidence,'” said Jost.

“The storm has finally come and QAnon is like, you can’t believe everything you read on the internet,” he said.
