Breath of the Wild modder Waikuteru is on the rise. Last week, they saved the glorified storage unit that is Link’s home. Now they have taken complete control of the giant house that houses Link’s house, namely Hyrule.

In a new video, Waikuteru demonstrates how a breakthrough in modding allows them to edit Breath of the Wildoverworld, which means that it is now possible to recreate other Zelda games inside BOTWexpansive limits of. Waikuteru demonstrated this by dropping a piece of Sword to Heaven—The city of Skyloft – in the game, floating waterfalls and an extremely specific color palette included.

In the video, Waikuteru explained how they achieved this.

“There are four worlds accessible in Breath of the Wild: The normal upper world that you can see in the background, the world that you will be teleported to when entering a sanctuary, MainFieldDungeon (you will play in this world when trying to complete a Divine Beast or the final test), [and] AocField (this is a new world that was added with The Master Trials DLC, better known as Sword Proof) MainField … is divided into 80 map sections. “

AocField is divided in the same way, but uses only 5 of the 80 sections of the map. “The other 75 sections of the map are free to use,” said Waikuteru. They put Skyloft on section 75 of the map and started jumping and running to other empty and busy sections. In doing so, the lighting and music in the game changed quickly, depending on the type of location Link should be in.

What this means, in theory (and apparently in practice), is that the possibilities for Breath of the Wild modding are now much larger than they were before. Heaven – or at least Sword to Heaven—It’s the limit.
