Brightly colored Legend of Zelda dark horse Sword to Heaven is having a second breath of life. Or a third, if you count on the relaunch of the Wii U eShop. But I do not.

As part of today’s Nintendo Direct, the company announced that Sword to Heaven is getting a relaunch in HD. The new version of the Switch will be released on July 16.

Originally, Sword to Heaven made use of the Wiimote and nunchuck for swordsand-shield controls, and the new version will replicate that with the movement of the Joy-Con Switchcontrol functionality. However, the game will also allow for button controls if you feel that swinging controllers each form is a trend that is best left in 2011.

Sword to Heaven it was good, but it also marked the point where many felt that the 3D Zelda formula started to become obsolete. If there were not that kind of reception, we would probably never have Breath of the Wild. That said, maybe all these years later, people will be able to better enjoy the game on their ownn terms. If they are not feeling very impatient for Breath of the Wild 2, That is.
