Six people were arrested after changing California’s iconic “Hollywood” sign to read “Hollyboob”.
A canvas with the letter “B” was placed over the “W”, while a white line was placed over the “D” to make it appear as a “B”.
The Los Angeles Times reports that five men and a woman were seen on video surveillance at around 1:15 pm. When a police helicopter arrived, they could see the group descending the steep terrain towards the famous Mulholland Drive.
The police found them at the bottom and their identities have not yet been announced.
AMAZING SECRETS BEHIND THE SIGN OF HOLLYWOOD
The incident cannot be classified as vandalism “because the plaque was not damaged,” said Capt. Steve Lurie of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), commander of the Hollywood area, according to the agency.

In addition, the vehicle reports that the police presence will increase for several days and possibly weeks because of the incident.

The sign is not accessible to the public, although visitors can visit the surrounding Griffith Park. The sign is held by a group called Hollywood Sign Trust.
