Shia LaBeouf is ‘waving’ with apologies for alleged abuse

FKA Twigs said in a new interview that ex-boyfriend Shia LaBeouf’s recent apology about his alleged abusive behavior is nothing more than “bonfire”.

In her first TV interview since she filed a lawsuit against LaBeouf in December, in which she accused the “Honey Boy” actor of sexual assault, assault and the imposition of emotional distress, Twigs said Gayle King on “CBS This Morning” she is talking to help others.

“I was always told that, you know, I was special and to take care of my heart and take care of the light inside my chest and when I was with the Shias, that light went out,” she told King. “And I just didn’t think it could happen.”

At the time, LaBeouf – who has since denied “any allegations” in the process – issued a statement to the New York Times, saying, “I am in no position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel.

“I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, just rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting those closest to me. I’m ashamed of this story and I’m sorry for those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say. ”

When asked about the apology, the 33-year-old British singer, born Tahliah Barnett, said: “It reminds me a little of the gas lighting I experienced when I was with him. This takes part of the blame, but not all, and then it denies. ”

Along with his denial, LaBeouf, 34, also entered a “long-term inpatient treatment” unit in December, with his lawyer saying at the time that the actor “needs help and he knows it.”

Earlier this week, in an interview with Elle magazine, Twigs detailed the “systematic” abuse she allegedly suffered during her relationship a year after meeting on the set of “Honey Boy”.

“I sincerely wish I could say that I found some strength and saw that light,” she said of how to get out of the relationship. “I wish I could say, ‘[It is] a testament to my strong character ‘or’ It’s the way my mother raised me. ‘ That’s not it. It is pure luck that I am no longer in this situation. “

LaBeouf’s representatives did not immediately respond to our request for comments.
