Selena Gomez shares behind the scenes clips of the new Spanish music video De Una Vez

Selena Gomez confessed during a backstage video released on Tuesday that she believes it sounds better singing in Spanish than in English.

The 28-year-old singer made the revelation in a complementary video for her new Spanish song De Una Vez, which she released last week.

The video started with an outside scene of a one-story suburban home and then showed Selena inside, doing her hair and makeup.

Selena and a friend told the story of a mutual friend who used a clown costume to play a prank.

She laughed while fixing her hair and shared how she purposely employs an expressionless face with her friend.

‘This is actually my first song in Spanish that I did since I think I was maybe 18, 19’, Selena said after she was shown singing a few lines from De Una Vez.

Selena took the lead over the opening scene and the raw footage passed showing her in a pink dress with a floral print reclining on a bed with satin sheets and pillows.

“Basically, I spent hours trying to improve the language and I also know a little bit of it since childhood,” said Selena while wearing white Beats headphones.

‘It was a lot of fun to get into that. It is a totally different world. And I personally think, guys, I don’t know if anyone really cares, but I think I sound better in Spanish than in English. Which is weird, right? That’s my thing, ‘she added.

Selena, while sitting on a yellow sofa, showed her funny side while explaining that she just used some of her ‘magical powers’ to turn off all the lights in the room.

The rough sequence of the music video showed her dancing with her arms in a circle as the lights went out in sync.

‘I used to be a magician on this Disney show, then,’ Selena joked referring to her lead role on the Disney Channel series Wizards Of Waverly Place from 2007 to 2012.

De Una Vez is Selena’s first Spanish song since Un Año Sin Lluvia in 2010.
