Selena + Chef: Selena Gomez presents more blazing mistakes in the kitchen in the new season 2 trailer

Selena Gomez may be able to sing a tune or slip perfectly into a role for a movie, but when it comes to cooking, she admittedly has no skills.

But that doesn’t stop her from returning to her home kitchen, alongside world-renowned chefs amid COVID-19, for the second season of HBO’s Selena + Chef.

And on Monday, the official trailer went down, giving fans a taste of what’s to come when their popular home cooking show returns on January 21.

“As you all know, I’m not the best cook,” Gomez confesses in the teaser before adding that she “will not stop trying to improve.”

‘So I’m back in my kitchen to take classes from the best chefs,’ says the Come & Get It singer as her song Dance Again, from her hit album Rare, plays in the background.

Like last season, the other main star of the show, Gomez’s grandfather, adorable known as Papa, is back for more fun.

‘I am – how did you notice that,’ she replies as she blushes with a big smile on her face.

Even with their help, it didn’t take long for the Texas native to experience some more violent mistakes when a pot caught fire and set off an alarm.

The first season, which lasted until August 2020, showed Gomez’s lack of experience in the kitchen.

But in the final hour, she learned some valuable lessons from a cast of chefs that included Angelo Sosa, Antonia Lofaso, Candice Kumai, Daniel Holzman, Jon & Vinny, Ludo Lefebvre, Nancy Silverton, Nyesha Arrington, Roy Choi and Tanya Holland.

Since then, fans have had another taste of the show with their holiday special – Selena + Aarti: Friendsgiving – which came out before Thanksgiving in November.

With the help of Food Network star Aarti Sequeira, Gomez cooked a turkey for the first time as part of the holiday celebration she shared with her grandparents and best friends.

The second season of Selena + Chef will be available on HBO Max on January 21, 2021.
