See the F-16 overflights of South Carolina hospitals today

AIKEN, SC (WRDW / WAGT) – F-16 fighters flew over Aiken Regional Medical Centers and other hospitals in the region today to boost the morale of medical professionals at the forefront of the battle against coronavirus.

The jets also passed through the neighborhood of the Augusta hospital.

Jets from the South Carolina Air Guard’s 169th Fighter Wing participated in the mission known as Operation American Resolve.

Pilots flew over several hospitals across the state.

Here were the times of South Carolina flyovers:

• Aiken – Aiken Regional Medical Centers: 11: 05-11: 20

• Orangeburg – Orangeburg and Calhoun Regional Medical Center: 12:00 pm to 12:15 pm

• Brother – Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge: 12h05-12h20

• West Columbia – Lexington Medical Center: 12h10-12h25

• Columbia – Prisma Health Baptist: 12h10-12h25

• Columbia – Prisma Health Richland: 12h10-12h25

• Columbia – Providence Health: 12h10-12h25

• Columbia – Hospital Dorn VA: 12:10 pm – 12:25 pm

“This is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to South Carolina heroes who are working on the front line 24 hours a day looking after us during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Colonel Akshai Gandhi, commander of the 169th Fighter Wing .
