Second report says that iOS 15 will no longer support iPhone 6s, original iPhone SE, more

A new report today from iPhoneSoft claims to have details on which devices Apple plans to drop support for iOS 15. Notably, the information aligns with a preview report we saw at the end of last year, suggesting the iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, Original iPhone SE will be on the chopping block.

French publication iPhoneSoft says the information comes from within Apple (via Apple Translate):

Here is a first list of Apple devices that will host the iOS 15 beta next June, again collected from our developer friend from Apple and that makes the Plans app officially official.

At this point, it appears that Apple is planning to abandon support for iPhones with A9 and earlier chips. While this may not seem like a big deal to many, the iPhone 6s remained very popular in the resale markets.

The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus were originally released in September 2015, with the iPhone SE coming in March 2016. These devices were very popular and received more than four years of software updates from Apple.

Not compatible with iOS 15:
