Second extinction of “Dino-guts stuffed shooter” arrives for the Xbox game preview this spring

Second Extinction, the cooperative three-player shooter in which you fight to reclaim Earth from the mutant dinosaurs, enters the Xbox Game Preview this spring.
Second Extinction was revealed during Microsoft’s Xbox 20/20 event last year. You team up with two other players to eradicate the dinosaurs that plague the planet in what the developer Systematic Reaction describes as “short but intense combat operations”. Instead of your usual dinosaurs, Second Extinction features everything from electric raptors to “giant T-Rexes that rise over the horizon”.

In a recent Xbox Wire post, game director Simon Vickers said it was “very early in the game’s development that we were able to confirm something that we all suspected; shooting dinosaurs and seeing them explode was fun. Creating the gameplay moment by timing is one of the most important things to get right in a game. It’s the basic set of actions that we asked players to do repeatedly, and getting it right so early was a big win for the game and it gave us a big boost of confidence that we were on something special. “

There is no concrete date for when Second Extinction will join the Xbox Game Preview after spring, but we know that when the game arrives on Xbox One and Xbox Series X, it will support up to 120 FPS and will use Microsoft’s Smart Delivery feature.
