Season 41 of ‘Survivor’ resumes production – Watch Jeff Probst [VIDEO]

Soon, Jeff Probst will put out torches again.

After several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Survivor is finally returning to the island. Probst and company are scheduled to resume production in season 41, the presenter announced in a video posted on social media on Monday.

“Fiji invited us back to their beautiful country to film season 41,” said Probst. “We have all of our COVID protocols in place so that everyone in Fiji remains safe, our entire crew will be safe and, of course, our players will be safe. I have to tell you, I can’t remember a time when I was so excited to shoot Survivor, and I’ll tell you why: last year reminded me, and I hope it reminded you, that you need to live your life as if it were a great adventure, and Survivor fulfills that. So I’m excited to say that I’ll see you on the island for Survivor 41. Come on! “

Season 41 was originally set to start shooting on March 24, 2020, but plans were changed abruptly just two weeks before filming. Since then, producers have worked with authorities in Fiji on a schedule that would ensure the health and safety of everyone involved. Due to the fact that SurvivorThe production team comes from all over the world, in addition to closing Fiji’s borders to non-citizens as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, pinpointing an exact start date was almost impossible, and the delay resulted in the longest interval between seasons in history of the show.

While other programs like The challenge and Love Island have found ways to move forward during the pandemic, the existing infrastructure – including pre-built sets made specifically for season 41 – in addition to considerable tax incentives has consolidated SurvivorFiji’s loyalty.

The reality show series has been off the air since the end of its 40th season, War Winners, on May 13, 2020. This season crowned Cagayan castaway Tony Vlachos as the second winner of the series twice. The season (as you might guess from the title) brought back 20 of the show’s most legendary and cunning winners to a real battle that celebrated the show’s 20th anniversary.
