“SEAL Team” actor Justin Melnick is recovering at home after falling from a helicopter while filming a private commercial on Saturday, Variety confirmed.
Reports first surfaced last night that a stuntman fell 4.5 to 5 meters from a helicopter while filming near the Blue Cloud Movie Ranch in Santa Clarita, California. Variety that the Los Angeles County Fire Department then transported the man to the hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.
A representative for Melnick said the actor is doing well and is recovering at home, adding that the footage was in no way associated with the “SEAL Team”. The dog Melnick was doing the maneuver with is also recovering and in good condition.

Melnick, who is a police officer, is best known for playing Brock Reynolds on the CBS SEAL Team. Before getting a role as a recurring actor in the series, Melnick served as the show’s dog trainer. He is the trainer and real-life owner of Dita, a Belgian Malinois who appears as the K9 Cerberus dog in the series.
