SANTO ANTÓNIO – San Antonio Water System is opening seven water distribution points at its pumping stations on Friday to supply water to customers.
Residents will need to bring their own clean containers, like pitchers to fill with water, the company said in a press release.
Customers will be entitled to five liters of water per person. As a precaution, the water should be boiled before drinking or used in the kitchen, mirroring the current boiling water warning for the city, officials said.
Opening hours will be from 12 to 18 hours on Friday. From Saturday, the opening hours will be from 8 am to 6 pm, every day. The premises will remain open until the water system returns to normal operating conditions.
Customers should expect the possibility of long lines at pumping stations.
