Tragic Saved By The Bell star Dustin Diamond “was never legally married” to ex Jennifer Misner, according to a newly obtained death certificate.
The actor, best known for his role as Screech in the high school teen comedy, passed away at the age of 44 at his Florida home on February 1, after a short battle with lung cancer.
But a death certificate obtained by TMZ states that Diamond “never married” – although many fans believe he exchanged vows with Misner in 2009 before divorcing in 2013.

The actor also wore a wedding ring before his death, but close friend Dan Block, president of Insurance Kings, insisted that the ring was just a way of showing his dedication to Misner during their relationship.
Block also told the publication that Diamond was increasingly frustrated with Wikipedia for incorrectly stating that he married Misner.
The actor died just three weeks after being diagnosed with stage four small cell lung cancer.

In statements in 2012, Diamond referred to Misner as his wife when he spoke about marriage during an interview with CityTV in October 2012.
Raising his wedding finger, he said: ‘Happy woman, happy life, my friend! That’s how it’s done! ‘
The ex-couple, who met in Pennsylvania, had already suffered long after Misner suffered a miscarriage in 2004.
Diamond’s last girlfriend, known as Tash, 39, said exclusively to DailyMail.com: ‘He was the love of my life. We plan a future together and talk a lot about having children. I’m heartbroken. ‘

She also shared exclusive photos with DailyMail.com of her mini-Yorkie named Fin visiting him at the hospital and the couple holding hands.
Tash, a certified pharmacy technician, said she was devastated and that her entire world was turned upside down. But she said she would love it the last time he managed to speak to her – just the day before he died.
‘Although he was struggling to breathe and had difficulty speaking, he was able to say the words to me’ ‘I love you’, ‘I told him I loved him back.’
Tash said, “Dustin died at our friend Jules’ house in Fort Meyers, Florida.”

He had been hospitalized since January and had just been discharged around noon on Monday, being taken to a friend’s home by medical staff for palliative care.
Diamond was still on the stretcher in the front room of the house while the hospice worker and his friend Jules were preparing their room when Tash found him breathless.
He was pronounced dead shortly afterwards by emergency personnel.
