Saudi Arabia’s aviation authority has allowed airlines to resume flights to transport foreigners outside the kingdom, state television reported.
The decision excludes countries that deal with the new variant of Covid-19 and flight crews who land in the kingdom are not allowed to leave their planes, the report said.
Saudi Arabia suspended all international flights a week ago, citing the lack of information on the new variety, the state SPA said. The move came after the UK’s decision to impose a blockade in London and southeastern England to control the rapidly spreading coronavirus strain at the time.
