Samsung turbine Galaxy Watch Active 2 with update focused on fitness and health

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 has undergone a series of updates in the past six months and is ready to receive another series of new features.

Far from abandoning the smartwatch in favor of the new Galaxy Watch 3, Samsung seems committed to keeping its oldest, cheapest and sportiest smartwatch an attractive purchase.

The update is coming first in South Korea, but is expected to arrive globally at any time.

Automatic exercise detection will activate more quickly, making it even more useful for monitoring exercises. This applies to running and elliptical exercises.

Sleep tracking has gained momentum, with more data for users to examine after waking up. However, exactly what these data will be is not very clear.

A hand wash timer has been added so that users can verify that they are having a full 30 seconds of hygiene to kill viruses.

And Samsung Health has been updated to allow users to participate in fitness challenges against friends and family.

Finally, there was a feature to find my smartwatch added via SmartThings.

It’s a big feature update and it’s great to see that the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is still compatible. At the end of last month, the company added several features of the Galaxy Watch 3, including ECG and blood pressure detection.

With all these features, and the Galaxy Watch Active 2 hitting a price below £ 200 and regularly dealt with decent deals – it’s still one of the most recommended devices for Android users.
