Remember the Samsung Galaxy XCover 4? The phone was launched in 2017 and is only now receiving a successor named in the form of the Galaxy XCover 5. After a series of recent leaks, people at WinFuture revealed the full specifications and renderings of the rugged Android smartphone.

As is traditional with the XCover series, the XCover 5 also features a removable battery. Its capacity is set at 3,000mAh with 15W of charge.

At its heart, it is rumored that the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 features the mid-range Exynos 850 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage. More memory variants may come in tow.

The screen is also apparently increasing in size. The Galaxy XCover 5 should have a 5.3-inch screen, making it one of the most compact Android phones in recent times. The resolution was supposedly set at 1,480 x 720, with a 16: 9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 6 coverage.

Renderings of the phone show a single camera on the back, surrounded by a red ring. It is believed to be a 16 MP sensor with two LEDs for flash underneath. In front is a 5 MP sniper, according to the leak.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 is said to have a waterproof IP68 rating and MIL-STD 810G certification for durability.

Connectivity options must include Bluetooth 5.0, support for 5 GHz Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, USB-C and a 3.5 mm audio connector.

Unlike the Pro models of the XCover series, there is apparently no fingerprint reader on the phone. However, facial unlocking is said to be present.

Elsewhere, the phone must run Android 11 ready to use.

According WinFuture, the Galaxy XCover 5 should cost between € 289 and € 299 ($ ​​348 – $ 360). So far, the information suggests a single Black Graphite colorway.
