Russian beautician fights for life after wild dogs pluck his face: report

A 20-year-old Russian beautician was beaten up by a pack of wild dogs that tore her face, tore meat from her limbs and tore off all her clothes in freezing eastern Siberia, according to a report.

Tatyana Loskutnikova was violently attacked by the 10 dogs while walking through the city of Ulan-Ude on Wednesday morning – before residents who heard their screams scared the animals, reported East2West News.

The seriously injured woman – who suffered severe blood loss – was carried to a nearby home and then rushed to a hospital, where she was placed in an induced coma and on a ventilator, according to the agency.

Her family said her face was “damaged beyond recognition”.

“The victim is in intensive care after anti-shock therapy,” said Dr. Igor Shpak, chief physician at the Republican Clinical Hospital.

“Surgeons, neurosurgeons, traumatologists, otolaryngologists and maxillofacial surgeons are all fighting for her life,” he added. “The patient was delivered to us in an extremely serious condition, suffering from hemorrhagic and painful shock.”

Only his eyes remained on his disfigured face, according to the hospital.

Loskutnikova had “multiple lacerated wounds and bites on the face, body and limbs,” said Shpak. “The percentage of damage is extremely high. Her blood pressure is extremely low. “

Local resident Alexandra Andreevna, who helped save the woman, said she heard screaming and barking.

“I got dressed, went out to see the crossroads. There was a backpack lying on the floor, ”she said. “Then I saw a pack of dogs barking and a person lying on the floor. There were about 10 dogs, maybe more. “

Andreevna said the woman didn’t scream anymore.

“She was conscious, but apparently she was unable to scream because of the pain,” she said, adding that she used a stick to beat up the crazed dogs and hit a fence to alert others.

“We dragged her over to my house. She was without clothes, just boots, ”said Andreevan.

“His body was bitten in places in the tendons and bones. His face was also bitten, covered in blood. Eyeballs have been exposed, ”she added.

Loskutnikova’s brother Vladislav posted a message saying she was attacked on the way to a clinic.

“The bites were deep, down to the bones, the soft tissues of his face damaged and unrecognizable,” he wrote. “Tanya is a young and promising girl, she is only 20 years old.”

Police shot 10 dogs whose remains are being examined for possible rabies infection, according to East2West News.
