EXCLUSIVE – Radio legend Rush Limbaugh, who died last week at the age of 70 after a battle with lung cancer, will be honored this weekend at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and introduced to the Conservative Hall of Fame, Fox News found.
Limbaugh will become the first individual to be consecrated at the American Conservative Union Conservative Hall of Fame. The National Rifle Association opened in 2018.
Limbaugh will also be honored with a video tribute celebrating his life and career, which will be shown on Saturday night during the event’s prestigious Ronald Reagan Dinner. Longtime producer Rush Limbaugh Show Bo Snerdley is expected to be present, according to a source.
American Conservative Union (ACU) President Matt Schlapp recalls being “glued” to Limbaugh’s 2009 CPAC speech, which inspired the conservative movement and is widely considered to be one of the most important moments of his iconic career.

Limbaugh, who rarely traveled to events and only spoke at a CPAC, gave an explanation of “who are the conservatives”, which caused the crowd to explode with shouts of “USA! USA!” Schlapp hoped that Limbaugh would be able to speak at this year’s event again, but health did not allow that to happen.
“The fact that this speech is a very important moment for CPAC and conservatism is somewhat appropriate,” Schlapp told Fox News.

“What we see – what we see is potential. We don’t look across the country and we see the average American, the person who makes this country work, we don’t look at that person with contempt. We don’t think about that person, he doesn’t have what is necessary We believe that that person can be the best he wants if certain things are simply removed from his path, such as onerous taxes, regulations and a lot of government. “

“We want each American to be the best one to choose. We recognize that we are all individuals.
