Limbaugh, 69, has been one of President Trump’s most fervent supporters. The day after revealing that he had cancer, Trump invited him as a guest to his State of the Union – where he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
The conservative radio icon told listeners on Thursday: ‘I was not expected to be alive today. I didn’t expect that I would be able to arrive until October, November and December.
‘And yet, here I am, and today, I have some problems, but I’m feeling really good today.’

‘My point in all of this today is gratitude,’ said Limbaugh of the support he felt. ‘My goal in all of this is to thank and tell everyone involved how much I love you from the bottom of a considerable, growing and still beating heart.’
Limbaugh also thanked his wife Kathryn Adams for his support during his battle. The radio host has been married to Kathryn, his fourth wife, since 2010.
“So many people put me first,” Limbaugh added, referring to Lou Gehrig, who called himself “the luckiest man” while fighting ALS.

Limbaugh announced his diagnosis of cancer in February, after learning about it in January.
Limbaugh was diagnosed with advanced stage IV lung cancer and shared in October that the treatments were no longer working, which meant he would die.
But despite his health concerns, he continued to present his radio program, which has been in national circulation since 1988. He missed several programs in October for treatment.
At his final 2020 show, he added, ‘I can’t be self-centered about this, when that’s the trend when they say you have a delivery date.
‘You have an expiration date. Many people never hear that, so they don’t look at life that way. ‘
